Why I work for Habitat for Humanity: I have been involved with Habitat since 2000, originally as a volunteer in the role of Secretary of the Board. I was given the opportunity to work for Habitat in 2004 as the Program Coordinator and then as the Executive Director in 2005.
I work for Habitat because I find it extremely rewarding to know that I am in a position where I can help to improve the lives of others, not just today, but for future generations. I also, believe in Habitat’s philosophy of a Hand Up, not a Hand Out and am very satisfied knowing that we are helping families who want to help themselves. I enjoy the challenges, and I especially enjoy the rewards of working for Habitat!

Why I work for Habitat for Humanity: I’ve always heard that when you do something that you’re passionate about, it doesn’t feel like work. My passion for working to help those who need a hand-up with housing became obvious to me when I found myself crying every time I attended a Habitat for Humanity event (or watched Extreme Home Makeover!) Although I’m new to the Habitat staff, I love what I’m doing, and I’m having a lot of fun working with our amazing family and community partners! Habitat for Humanity is a great organization, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it!
